What are grounds for an annulment in Florida?
In Florida it’s really hard to get an annulment. You basically have to have a legal reason that your marriage never should have happened in the first place. If you were already married to someone else, then you can’t get married to a new person. You have to get divorced first, and that would be a ground. There is a ground called fraud, but fraud is really hard to prove. If you’ve consummated the marriage or lived together, it’s really hard to prove grounds for annulment, so usually we go the divorce path, but talk to an attorney and they’ll tell you all about your unique situation and whether that applies to you.
