How can unmarried parents establish paternity in Florida?

Either of the parents can file a paternity action in the state of Florida and allege that the biological father is the legal father of that child as well.  A father must file a paternity action if he was not married to the mother at the time the child was conceived or born.  A paternity action will establish parental responsibility, visitation and child support and it will legally establish the father’s rights to the child. All Family Law Group, P.A.
