How do the parties and the mediator work together?
The mediator himself or herself is going to be a neutral and unbiased individual that’s only there to attempt to facilitate an agreement between the two parties. They’re not going to provide legal advice at the mediation. The parties depending on their case can either be in separate rooms or can be in joint rooms working on resolving the issues. Even if the parties are in separate rooms, it’s good to communicate with the other party about what you’re seeking in an attempt to resolve the case.
