What is legal separation in Florida?

In Florida, we do not have a process for legal separation. We do have a process where you can get file to obtain support from your spouse if you need it even without a divorce. You can do what’s known a postnuptial agreement. It’s kind of like a prenuptial agreement that you would do before the marriage, but it’s an agreement to divide the assets and for support after the marriage has already happened, but before you actually file for divorce.
