Is collaborative divorce expensive?
It really just depends on your unique case. In a collaborative divorce, you’re paying the attorneys, you’re paying the financial advisor, and you’re paying the parenting coordinator or any other person that’s kind of giving advice into your case. So in theory, you’re paying several different people but it could be less money if that does help you come to an agreement because litigation can be very protracted. You’re dealing with depositions and sometimes you do have to bring in business evaluator and things like that so, in the long run it could be cheaper or it could be more expensive. It really just depends on your unique situation. I would always say to talk to an attorney about it. See if collaborative divorce is something that would be good for your individual case.
