How do I ask my spouse for a divorce?

You probably know your spouse better than anyone and so you may know how they’re going to react. I would say it is best to have the conversation in person and stress that you want to work it out amicably. Of course, if there is any kind of domestic violence or threat of it and you are afraid, then I suggest you have a family member or a friend with you or meet him or her in a public area.
