Meet Together or Separate in Mediation

Every case is different, and mediation is a lot about personal preference. If both parties agree that they want to be in the same room, then that can be facilitated. If one party does not feel comfortable being in the same room with the opposing party, then it would be that the parties would be in separate rooms and the mediator would go between them with the opposing parties offer of settlement.
