How long does it take for a divorce to be final in Florida?
It really depends on your specific case. The smallest amount of time that it can take is 20 days after the divorce is actually filed. Normally it takes a lot longer than that. In uncontested divorces where you file the settlement agreement with the actual petition, you can get it done fairly quickly but it also depends on the judge’s schedule. There’s no real answer to that. It can be anywhere from 30 days to six months or in a very contested divorce we can be talking about several years.
