Final judgments and marital and paternity settlement agreements legally set forth a court's order or the parties' agreement regarding issues such as child custody, child support, visitation rights and alimony. If one party wishes to modify a child custody, child support, spousal maintenance or time sharing plan or agreement, the modification must be approved by the court.
